i’m rea, a writer and artist based in athens. my work moves between identity, memory, culture and the places we carry within us.
there are things i’ve lived that i’ve never managed to say aloud. some have stayed with me for years, waiting for somewhere to go. i began writing these letters because i wanted those parts of my life to exist somewhere beyond me, perhaps in the hands of someone who might understand.
every letter begins with something i’ve lived, remembered, or quietly carried. i write it by hand and send it from athens, not knowing exactly where it will land. you might find something of your own life in it, or you might simply keep it. either feels right to me.

before you order
a real, physical handwritten letter, written by me and posted to you from athens. not an email, and not a printed newsletter. a single letter is a one-time purchase; the year is four letters, one each season.
no. i write every letter individually, so no two people receive the same one.

four handwritten letters over your own twelve months, one each season, posted from athens. €52 for the year, about €13 a letter. your year runs from the day you join, not a fixed calendar year, and it renews automatically each year unless you cancel before your next renewal.
after your payment i prepare your first letter by hand, usually within about three to four days. posting from athens then typically takes around two weeks, so most first letters arrive within roughly two to three weeks. international times vary and there isn’t a guaranteed arrival date.
yes, postage and tracking are included, and letters are posted worldwide from athens. outside the eu, local customs or import charges may occasionally apply and are the recipient’s.

yes, through the single letter option. you add the recipient’s delivery details in the form and i post it directly to them. gifting is a one-time purchase.
yes, you can cancel future renewals. email me at reakaur09@gmail.com and ask me to stop your next renewal; it takes effect once i’ve processed and confirmed it to you. cancelling stops future renewals and doesn’t remove any letters already included in a period you’ve paid for.
