how it works
the contents change from letter to letter. that is part of receiving one.
if something in a letter stays with you, you’re welcome to write back by email. a memory, a photograph, a drawing, or a few words. there’s no need to, and i can’t promise a personal reply, but i’ll read what you choose to share, even if i can’t always write back.

a note from rea.
i’m rea, a writer and artist based in athens. my work moves between identity, memory, culture and the places we carry within us.
there are things i’ve lived that i’ve never managed to say aloud. some have stayed with me for years, waiting for somewhere to go. i began writing these letters because i wanted those parts of my life to exist somewhere beyond me, perhaps in the hands of someone who might understand.
every letter begins with something i’ve lived, remembered, or quietly carried. i write it by hand and send it from athens, not knowing exactly where it will land. you might find something of your own life in it, or you might simply keep it. either feels right to me.
